General Rules:
The first team listed will be Visiting team for the Game. Visitor @ Home
Home team is responsible for getting field ready if first game on the night by Putting Bases into proper locations on Field, place schedule, score and standings clip board on fence near umpire and if final game on field for the night putting the bases back into secured location along with clip board.
Home team is also required to conduct a pregame prayer for the teams before home team takes the field. Visiting team will conduct post game prayer at conclusion of game around pitcher mound.
At the conclusion of the game, the teams will verify score with umpire and winning team will record score on official sheet for night attached on clip board.
Age requirements , Player must be 14 yrs or older to play in a game. The Coaches are required to verify age for this rule.
Anyone with physical or mental disabilities will not be allowed to play if it is determined, by umpire, commissioner that safety issues are present. Slight modifications may be made to accommodate these players if agreed to by league committee. ( committee will be made up of team mangers, umpire and commissioner for that league)
Covid: fall 2021 restrictions. Please practice some sort of social distance ing , If sick please do not come to ball field.
Foul language will not be tolerated within this church league, Accidental language , Player will be warned and if continues will be asked not to participated in remainder of league.
Arguing from players or about umpire calls with foul language player will be expelled from league for remainder of season.
Regular Church attendance is required to participate in games.
Players must participate with church in which they are members of.
Special considerations will allow players to become members of a opposing church team.
Discuss with Commissioner if needed.
Tri County Church Athletic Association Offers No Insurance. All players when listed on lineup become members of this association and participate at their own risk.
All game played under ASA guidelines with exceptions.
1. Number of players required to play is 8.
2. Two players may be picked up from other teams to complete a legal line up.
3. Teams may Roster bat and sub defensively. ( all players in dug out may bat and switch out defensively at managers discretion, Manager must make lineup and all batters must bat in their spot , no switching batting order)
4. Tie Games: If Game ends in tie, we will continue as a 1 pitch per player game . At this point last out(from previous inning) will be placed at 2nd base as baserunner and 1 pitch to batter will commence without any courtesy foul balls.
5. Game Times: Grace period of 10 minutes will be given to first game on night , or until legal lineup is obtained. which ever happens first. Other games start on time or immediately following previous game. Game time lengths will be 2 games per field per night, no new inning after 55 minutes but home team may bat to 60 min. , 3 game per field per night, no new inning after 50 minutes but home team may bat to 55 min. if 4 games per field per night no new inning after 45 min but home team may bat to 50 min.
6. Women will be allowed to play in the TCCAA Mens leagues.
7. Bats: only aluminum or wood bats are allowed . No composite bats are allowed .
8. Home run Rule: 1 up home runs per game. Each ensuing ball hit over fence will be deemed a Foul ball (strike).(e: 1 home run each for team is allow, after 1st team hits home run, opposing team must hit one or two (one to tie or two go up by one) before 1st team may hit another one or two depending if home runs tied or down by one, this may go back and forth until game ends)
9. Game Balls: Each team hits their own softballs , these must be purchased from league and have the qualifying League stamp (TCCAA)
10. Coed Teams:
Roster bat entire team in dug out if equal between men and women.
Normal fielding lineup will 2men 2women in infield and same in outfield with 1man 1 women pitcher catcher.
Legal lineup 9(5m 4w) 2men and (1 or 2) women in infield and outfield, man women catcher pitcher
Legal lineup 10(6m 4w) 2men and 2 women in infield and outfield, man catcher man pitcher
legal lineup 8(4m 4w) at least one women in infield and outfield and 1 man 1 women pitcher catcher
legal lineup As many women as available playing any where however if including men no more than 2 on infield or outfield.
Teams bat switching between men and women through out lineup, the last batter and first batter may be two men , any extra women may bat back to back through lineup.
All Softballs used in this league will be purchased from league and have a league stamp to be used. New balls will be included in registration fee. Extras may be purchase, contact the commissioner.
Please adhere to the City Park Rules.
Please keep park clean and place trash in containers.
All games will be played as scheduled , any rainouts will be adjusted by commissioner and communicated to team mangers.
Schertz Fields:
Lights for field are turned on and off by managers , on by umpires request and off at end of last game . these on /off times are recorded on score sheet. Lock for lights is
UC Fields:
Entry door will be opened by league representative.
Lights on the UC fields are scheduled and will turn on at a predetermined time and turn off at at scheduled time.
All bases and clip boards must be place back into proper locations and locked up these belong to our league.
Please note we need to try and control cost of when lights are on for safety but off when not necessary. And also that our equipment is stored properly.
Our cost in general run less than ½ price compared to the San Antonio City leagues, they charge about $xxx dollars per team to participate and another 1 to 2 dollars per spectator to come and watch and we are somewhere around $300 .
